Sams Valley Vineyard is located on the Old McDonough Farm that has been farmed over 100 years. The farm was traditionally a hay and beef ranch and was bought by the Garvin's in the mid 80's. In 2000 the first planting of vines took place and it is now a 66 acre vineyard, in addition to hay and alfalfa fields. The Garvin's have added a large pond to back up the valley's water supply and to water the large elk heard, deer and wildlife that run through the farm.
